Recycling drinks that have lost consumer properties is a whole problem. Daily waste is formed in the form of filled packagings with an expired shelf life or storage, packagings may lose tightness or simply a commercial appearance. The drink still requires attention during storage, and it cannot be poured into the sewer. What to do?

The essence of the problem

The reason for the formation of such waste is illiquidity, marriage (scrap containers), expiration of shelf life, signs of poor quality of products or the property of confiscation.

In a liquid that is now considered unacceptable to consumption, pathogenic bacteria and microbes may already be present or appear — because of this, drinks (even alcoholic) are biologically dangerous.

Options

For safe processing of drinks that have lost consumer properties, it is not only recycling itself that is necessary — it also requires:

organization of delivery to the processing area (closed premises or a special landfill) — using equipment and mechanization;

preparation of hazardous waste documentation.

After loading on vehicles, drinks and liquids are sent to the organization, where one or more of the possible processing processes are performed depending on the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the drink:

draining liquids from containers into a vessel for chemical treatment and decontamination for further use as raw materials;

separation and processing of solid and liquid phases by mechanical and chemical methods;

discharge of beverages in a limited volume and dilution with water to the sewage system or directly to the treatment facility;

crushing the container with construction equipment (liquid is poured into a recess in the soil, the remains of the container are sent for disposal, the place of action is buried).

The last option is carried out at a special landfill.

Packagings (bottles, barrels, etc.) are cleaned if necessary and sent for reuse.

Waste management professionals can take over the entire process. The customer will be left to monitor the export and receive «closing» documents in a pre-agreed format.
