Disposal of illiquid products

The disposal of illiquid products is a front of work in the food industry, which almost no one suspects. Quality assessment is carried out constantly, but in warehouses and trading halls, in addition to the usual «delay,» illiquid food products are regularly formed.

Any food products identified with these features should be removed from the consumer and disposed of. The main problem is the rapid deterioration of food and the appearance of dangerous mold. The consumption of fallow vegetables and fruits is especially dangerous — the appearance of harmful bacteria can easily go unnoticed, but they can poison a person.

If pathogenic bacteria spill over from spoiled products to another one, the problem may worsen. When stored in significant volumes, insects and rodents may appear — in this case, it is better to expose the entire batch of products to destruction.

To neutralize danger, illiquid food products:

cleaned from third-party inclusions and packaging;

is checked for use for the main purpose (the products do not spoil immediately), after which it is allowed to transfer to our smaller brothers for food;

processed by pyrolysis-thermal method or simply burned (in case of detection of biological and chemical hazard);

put into the state of compost or fertilizers;

located on a closed landfill, where there will be a natural decomposition of residues into safe substances.

When significant amounts of waste are received, it is required to ensure proper storage in conditions that protect environmental poisoning — in containers and closed rooms.
